Organization and Cleaning

There are lots of different ways to figure out what cleaning and organization tips work for you, and you may find inspiration from blogs like these. My personal ways of organizing and cleaning:

  • Make a list
  • Put on music or a TV show you've seen before
  • If it takes less than 2 minutes (putting away shoes, hanging up a coat, wiping off the counter), do it right away
  • Decorative bins make my messy sprawl look more organized. I use them for everything - makeup, winter hats, cleaning rags.
  • Dishes are my kryptonite. I'm working to get better at doing them every day, but it's a process.
  • My favorite chore is vacuuming!

Traditionally, you need to have 20% of the total cost of your home ready to pay up front. This is called a down payment. However, there are several options for down payments less than 20%. Some banks will lend you money for a mortgage if you have less than a 20% down payment, but they may charge an extra monthly fee for mortgage insurance.
