Getting your Questions Answered

The library staff at the Paul Meek Library is here to help you use the library to its fullest.  Please don't hesitate to Ask A Librarian any questions!

We offer research support on all library collections, technology support, OneButton Studio guidance, and assistance in searching and evaluating websites. These services are provided both in the library and remotely through telephone, email, IM chat or online consultation. Librarians also teach instruction sessions, give tours, and offer a number of workshops. Research & Instruction librarians are subject specialist who manage print and digital collections in their subject areas and teach research skills to courses in their subjects.

Individual Reference Appointments

Subject Specialist are also available by appointment for one-on-one reference consultation and instruction.  Scheduling an appointment allows librarians time to provide in-depth help with your research. 

To set up an Individual Appointment:

  • On the Main Campus, contact your subject specialist
  • Off-Campus and On-line only, please use this form to schedule an individual appointment; by phone or possibly on-line.

Getting Help In Person

  • The Reference and Information desk on the first floor of the Paul Meek Library is staffed Monday - Thursday 8 a.m. - 11:30 p.m., Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday Noon to 4:30 p.m. and Sunday 2 pm - 11:30 p.m. during the Fall and Spring semesters.  Hours vary at other times.
  • If no one is available in the Reference Department, stop at the Main Circulation Desk at the entrance of the Library.  A  librarian is on call.
  • You can also make individual appointments for in-depth reference assistance.
  • Help is also available at all library service desks.

  • Chat with a librarian at the Paul Meek Library.  If we are not online, see below for alternate means to contact us.   
  • If you do not get a response after a few minutes log-out and try back in a half-hour or so.  If time is an issue you can always call (731) 811-7092 and ask to be put in contact with a librarian.
